December 2017: Sec 3 Chemistry Workshop

24 Nov

In this section, the idea of atoms and chemical bonding being the most important fundamental concept in Chemistry is introduced. The knowledge of atomic structure opens the door for students to understand the world of chemical reactions. Students are also introduced to the use of models and theories in the study of the structures of atoms, molecules and ions, and the bonding in elements and compounds. Practice in chemical formulae and balancing equations will get the student ready for the fundamentals of stoichiometry in the later part of the year.

This course is designed to help pupils build a strong foundation in chemistry for the 2-year O level Chemistry course in 2018-2019. Tutor will explain the concepts and the students will work on progressively challenging question in the worksheets given.
