PSLE A* Achievers

This course is a head-start in school syllabus math curriculum for P6 pupils in 2018.  Before the busy P6 year begins, school holidays will be a good time to pick up skills to tackle higher-order challenging heuristic and non-routine problems.  The course also builds up student’s foundation in their P5 work.

Topics covered include; 4 Operations in Algebraic Expressions, Problems involving Fractions/Ratio/Decimal/Percentage, Circles, Rate & Speed

Fusion Math

This enrichment course is meant for students who are keen to take on advance learning in math, as well as to build a strong foundation in various topics in order to solve high order problems in line with local and nonlocal math competitions.

Junior Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (Junior SMOPS) (for selected P5 students, up to 5 students per school, born after 1st Jan 2007): Apr 2018

Gauss Contest (P3 – P6; Sec 1 – 2): May 2018

National Mathematical Olympiad of Singapore (NMOS) (P4 – P5): Jun – Jul 2018

Australian Mathematics Competition (P3 – P6; Sec 1 – 4): Jul 2018

Annual Mathlympics for all Singapore Primary Schools: (P4 – P5): Aug – Sep 2018

Fusion Math P6

This program is designed to enhance problem solving skills in pupils who are interested to take part in the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (SMOPS) competition in April 2018 (1st round).  This competition is organised by Hwa Chong Institution.

Topics covered include; Circles, Permutations & Combinations, Distance-Speed-Time & Relative Velocity

Science Program

The Science program stresses on the content and its delivery in an engaging manner.  Hands-on experiments will be carried out during school holiday programs to build up pupil’s experimental knowledge.

Available levels: Primary 4 (Experimental Learning on Heat & Light Energy), Primary 5 (Experimental Learning on Electricity), Primary 6 High Achiever Science: Experimental Learning on Forces & Energy)

DSA Advance Science P6

This course is offered to prospective P6 students who wish to advance their learning in the Sciences.  Click here to find out more about the MOE DSA-Sec (Direct School Admission) Exercise.  Click here to find out more about the Year 1 selection test to NUS High School.

At Math Arena, content of the DSA Advance Science (P6) course is divided into 3 modules:

Module 1: Biology (5-day Program)

Topics covered include; From Cells to Systems, Diffusion & Osmosis, Enzymes, General Health, Human Anatomy, Genetics & Heredity, Ecosystem

Module 2: Chemistry (3-day Program)

Topics covered include: Periodicity of Elements, Compounds & Mixtures, Kinetic Particle Theory, Atomic Structure & Chemical Bonding, Common Chemical Reactions, Separation Techniques
