Q2.    Olivia, Penny and Quince were given some charity tickets to sell at 5 for $6.  Olivia sold 1/6 of the tickets.  Penny sold 2/3 as many tickets as Quince.  Olivia and Penny sold a total of 90 tickets.

(a)     How many tickets did they sell altogether?

(b)     How much did they collect from the tickets they sold?

Q3.    The number of pages of a novel Minnie has read to the number of pages she has not read is 1 : 3.  If she reads another 60 pages, the number of pages she has read will become 75% of the number of pages she has not read.  How many pages does the novel have?

Smart-KidsP3 Heuristics Head Start

Heuristics are very important strategies to get around various Mathematical word problems, which is introduced to students at Primary 3, according to the Singapore education system.

This course will reinforce concepts learned in Primary 2 as we introduce the skills involved in Heuristics and prepare our students for the formative years.

Who can participate in P3 Heuristics Head Start?

It is targeted at Primary 2 students.
