Singapore-Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools

  • The competition is organised Hwa Chong Institution.
  • It is an annual event that sets out to generate greater interest in Mathematics among pupils in primary schools and sharpening their problem solving skills..

National Mathematical Olympiad of Singapore

  • The competition is organised by NUS High School of Math and Science, in partnership with Ministry of Education and the Singapore Mathematical Society.
  • The objective of the competition is to instil a love for and to generate interest in Mathematics amongst Primary school students, as well as to identify and nurture Mathematical talents in our youths.

Singapore Mathematical Olympiads (Junior/Senior)

  • The competition is organised by the Singapore Mathematical Society
  • The main objective of the competition is to test the ingenuity and mathematical problem-solving ability of the participants, and to discover and encourage mathematical talents in secondary schools in Singapore.

 

Australian Mathematics Competition

  • The contest is organized by Australian Mathematics Trust.
  • Main objective of the contest is to identify the strength and weakness of students in Mathematical thinking skill and application.
  • The difficulty level increases gradually, offering a comprehensive range of questions and greater intellectual gratification in solving challenges.

American Mathematics Contest 8

  • The contest is organized by The Mathematical Association of America.
  • Main objective of the contest is to promote the development and enhancement of problem solving skills.  It also fosters excitement, enthusiasm and positive attitudes towards Mathematics.
  • The questions are range from easy to very difficult and cover a wide scope of applications in order to appeal to a broad range of students.

GAUSS Contest

  • The contests are organised by the University of Waterloo Canada.
  • Main objectives of the contests are for students to have fun and to enjoy doing Mathematics.  The questions are designed to be both approachable and challenging for all students.
