1. James kept $600 of his salary for himself and gives 18% of his salary to his mother.  The rest of his salary is given to his father.  His father receives 70% of the total amount James give away.  How much is James’ salary?

 

2. Ellen gets $4 more than Federico each week.  They each spend $11 per week on transport and saves the rest.  After a few weeks, Ellen managed to save $65 and Federico only managed to save $45.  How much allowance money does Ellen get each week?
